A separate house needs to be built so that village chickens can be kept inside safe from predators and the weather. This will also make sure that eggs are laid inside the house where the people can find them. The kokorako house can be made from the same bush materials as the peoples' own houses. The chickens can be allowed to wander freely later in the afternoon but shut up in the house at night.   view gallery
